Privacy policy

The short version

• We ask for your email address only if you choose to join our mailing list. Nothing else.
• The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter never reach us.
• No advertising trackers, no third-party marketing pixels, no selling your data.
• You can unsubscribe from any email in one click, and ask us to delete everything we hold at any time.

The calculator

The calculator is a self-contained tool. Everything you enter — your costs, your cycle count, your insurance situation — is held in your browser while you use the page, and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no login, and no server that stores it.

Because of that, we cannot see your numbers. That is deliberate.

What we collect, and when

We only collect personal information in two situations.

• If you join our email list: your email address, the date and time you confirmed, and a note of where you signed up from. This list uses double opt-in — you will receive a confirmation email, and you are only added once you click it.
• If you buy the guides: we receive your email address so we can send you what you bought and any updates to it. Your payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider — we never see your card.

Email

Our mailing list is managed by Kit (Kit.com, formerly ConvertKit), which acts as our data processor: it stores the list and sends the emails on our behalf.

Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. You can also ask us to delete your record entirely — see Your rights below.

We do not add you to the mailing list just because you bought something. Buying and joining the list are separate, and joining requires your confirmation.

Payments

Checkout is handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. When you buy, your payment is processed by them and their payment providers, who handle your card details, billing address and tax. We receive only your email address and the fact that an order was placed.

Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy governs the payment information they hold.

Analytics and cookies

At present, the calculator pages set no cookies and run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, or any advertising network.

If we add measurement later, it will be privacy-friendly and cookieless — aggregate counts, not individual profiles — and we will update this policy first.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal information.
• We never run third-party advertising trackers on the calculator pages.
• We never join the numbers you enter into the calculator to your email address or to any purchase.
• We never share your email with anyone except the processors named here (Kit for email, Lemon Squeezy for payments), or where the law requires it.

Consumer health data

Laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act govern what is called consumer health data. We do not collect it. The calculator's inputs, which could hint at your health situation, are never transmitted to us, so we never hold them. We do not collect health information through any other route either.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under UK or EU GDPR, or California and Washington state law — you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
• Have anything inaccurate corrected.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it.
• Withdraw consent at any time — for example, by unsubscribing.
• Complain to your local data-protection authority.

How long we keep it

If you join our list, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you buy something, we and the merchant of record keep the order record for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Children

The calculator and the guides are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date below. If a change is significant, we will make it clear — on the site, or by email.
